Lippy Lou Creations

I went to an expo a few weekends ago and had the chance to view some of Jenny Mills' jewellery creations. Jenny is a local Tasmanian artist who designs full time. Have a look at her website. Some of her designs just astounded me.

The one I fell in love with was the one on the left with the Swarovski Crystal Cosmic Rings feature drop. Drop dead gorgeous in the flesh I might add! It retails AUD$160 which I cannot afford right now. I had a look around for what the individual components cost to make something similar but Jenny uses top quality findings and chains that also cost a premium (mostly sourced from overseas) so I don't deny that the price tag is appropriate. I have someone looking out for some of these Cosmic Rings for me because I think they would make beautiful necklaces in the future of my own design.

The second picture is another one of her designs that I think would be appropriate to wear with a low neck dress I am wearing to a wedding next weekend. Except that I don't wear yellow gold! So instead I decided to design a similar necklace with these jet Swarovski Crystal teardrop beads and some silver chain. I'm not going to sell this design and even though it won't come out exactly like Jenny's I will give her all the kudos for the inspiration.

These other two pictures of Jenny Mills design are also ones that I love! Hmmm one day! I would love to buy one of her creations because not only are they exquisite but she is local and trying to make a living!
